NICU week three- august 30 to sept 5

after his first water bath (sorry no pictures!) garron got new sheets on his bed!!! as you can see, they are sea creatures. VERY relaxing! it worked, because he gained almost 1/2 a pound over the week! from 2# 7.8 ounces to 2# 13.3 ounces. :) this week, garron spent more time out of my bed in the arms of justin & i. this was great! his mamaw (laura's mom) even got to hold him one night! what sweet time together.

on friday, garron got his second water bath. justin & i were both there & we had so much fun with the little man in the water. he seemed to love it. there was NO crying, just a happy little man & happy mom & dad. other than his bath, it was a big day; garron was out of his bed a lot more. because of this, his oxygen level & heartrate were not very consistent. this made for a stressful day for mom & dad. (there was lots of beeping from the monitor) it was really the first day that the realization set-in of garron being in the NICU & not being at home like a "normal" baby. soon though, he will be home & the beeping machines will be just a memory!

after the second water bath, garron got some Texas Tech Spirit! because he won't be at the football game on saturday, he is showing his support with his bedding! wreck 'em tech! :)
